Chris’ Story
Chris suffers from word blindness dyslexia. He left school with no qualifications then worked on a building site for 5 years. After employment as a fork lift operator and delivery driver Chris was forced to retire early on medical grounds. Now 57 Chris felt socially excluded and a little left behind. But he’d always wanted to get online to see what all the fuss is about. He decided to do something about it. Since attending Online SOS, Chris has learned how to make new friends on Facebook, stay in touch with Skype, learn more about his dyslexia with NHS Choices, and follow his passion for fishing on YouTube. Chris recognises he’s still got a long way to go, but wants to know more about online safety and banking online.
