The aim of Safer Internet Day is to inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively. In 2020, Safer Internet Day in the UK will encourage people to explore how they manage their online identity, and how the internet shapes how they think of themselves and others.
On the 7th and 14th February, as part of our Digital Fridays in conjunction with Tim Marsh and Platform Housing, Warndon Library will be hosting two special sessions looking at Internet safety from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.
Whether it’s finding out more about the does and don’ts of internet shopping, how to report online fraud, making your devices, phones and tablets more secure, or just looking for tips and advice about protecting your email or social media accounts, Tim and his helpful volunteers will be here to help.
There will also be information about how to keep your children safe online too and the opportunity to book a place on our Safer Internet Day Code Club Special on Tuesday, 11th February.
